Fahmi Ela lives in Norway since 2020. She is a Bangladeshi writer whose main areas of interest are feminism, freedom of expression, human rights, inclusion, and cultural diversity. Her first book, Maiyafoyar Kohon, was published in Bengali from Bangladesh and has been translated into English and published in Sweden in 2021.

Ela finished her bachelor’s and master’s in social anthropology at Jahangirnagar University and her master’s in cultural studies at the University of south-eastern Norway.
